We parked across highway 11 at Larrabee State Park which has a camping area and nice restrooms. 

About a mile up the trail there is a short (0.2 mile) side trail leading to a viewpoint overlooking Puget Sound. 

We continued up the trail to the lake.  The trail encircles the lake.  We chose to do the loop clock-wise.  At the far end of the lake we stopped for lunch.  I found a sheltered area under a rock overhang where the ground was still dry which made a nice place to sit (I'd inadvertently left my sit pad at home).  During lunch a couple of light squalls moved through, dimpling the lake from the rain drops.
