It was a short climb up to Squires Lake.  We continued south along the ridge line.  Half way down the ridge a short side trail leads to a wonderful view of Mt. Baker. 

We continued to the end of the trail near the summit.  Here there is a large, overhanging cliff below offering a great viewpoint to the west and south.  We ate lunch there. 

On the way back we took a detour trail that led us around the east side of Squires Lake before returning to the trailhead.
