The trail initially switchbacks up the west slope of Frog Mountain revealing good views of Bear Mtn across the valley.  Part way up the trail you can look down the slope and see the parking area and road and Beckler River. 

As you ascend, the trees eventually thin out revealing the sloping south facing meadows.  The trail ascends to a somewhat narrow ridge that leads to the summit. 

The day was pleasantly cool (62-63) which made for nice hiking, but while the clouds kept the sun at bay, they also detracted from views. 

From the summit there are nice views of Columbia and Kyes peaks towards the north, but both peaks disappeared into the clouds.  Glacier Peak was mostly invisible in the clouds.
