Our First Ocean Cruise
This was our fourth Viking cruise, and our first Viking ocean cruise. It started in northeast Italy in Venice, went around Italy, and then Monaco, France, and Spain.
We got it on sale, so our choice of dates was somewhat limited. I wanted to avoid being cold and damp, as in some recent cruises. Instead, we got sunny and very hot.
We got an extension for the start, in Venice, and we had both been wanting to visit Venice. That was definitely a good idea, although it would have been cheaper to have just gotten rooms ourselves a few days before the cruise started.
